SHORT TERM ORTHODONTICS
Often patients want a quick result to line up their teeth and achieve a straight smile. Being a specialist in orthodontics and further certified in a range of orthodontic systems, Dr Hamza Anwar is able to combine different brace systems to achieve a straight smile for you in a short space of time to meet your needs.
INVISALIGN
The most popular hidden brace system in the world is Invisalign. This is simply because they are so discreet that most people won’t even realise you are wearing them. Invisalign aligners are a series of custom made, medical grade plastic aligners that will move your teeth gently. They are great for correcting cases of overlapped, spaced, or crooked teeth.
When using Invisalign, each plastic aligner is worn for approximately 7-10days. You can go about your normal activities when wearing the aligner, however you have to remove the aligner when eating and drinking. Each case can take a different amount of time to complete depending on the complexity, but due to the fact that these braces are removable, most patients find them incredibly comfortable to wear.
To get started with your Invisalign journey, simply call the practice and set up an initial consultation. Once the initial consultation is complete, the first step is something called a ClinCheck. The ClinCheck is an excellent system whereby you can view an animation of how your teeth will look once the treatment is complete. This will allow you to see and design your new beautiful smile in advance!

LINGUAL BRACES – INCOGNITOTM
Lingual braces are the most invisible method of straightening teeth. For this reason, it is one of the most popular orthodontic options at Clarity Dental Clinic.
The lingual system can be used to treat a variety of orthodontic problems and are an extremely discreet way of straightening teeth compared with traditional metal braces. It is comprised of small brackets and arch wires that are custom-made to fit the individual shape of your teeth. The brackets are bonded to the back of the teeth making them virtually invisible to other people.
The hidden braces that we offer Clarity Dental Clinic work in very much the same way as traditional braces to effectively straighten your teeth, and are definitely the most discreet option we offer.

CERAMIC BRACES
Ceramic braces are fitted to the front of your teeth, and consist of subtle, clear or tooth coloured brackets with tooth coloured wires running through them. They are an attractive alternative to metal braces as they are much less noticeable. The brackets are a similar size and shape to metal brackets but are clear or tooth coloured and so blend to provide good aesthetics.
Some people have ceramic braces if they are not suitable for Invisalign® (clear aligners) treatment (due to having more extreme irregularities of the teeth) but still want the option of a discreet brace during treatment.
Ceramic braces are also sometimes chosen because they are more budget-friendly than lingual braces. Whatever the reason for choosing Ceramic Braces, you can be certain that you will walk away with an exceptional result!

FIXED METAL BRACES
Metal braces are the traditional "train track" braces that most people think of when they read about orthodontic treatment. They consist of small metal brackets which are fitted to the front of your teeth with a wire running between them kept in place by small elastic modules.
Metal braces are still widely used and are very effective. However, modern technologies and techniques mean these braces are smaller, more comfortable and often faster than they used to be.

RETAINERS
Should you feel that your current fixed or removable retainers require repairing or replacing, this is something we are happy to correct for you at Clarity Dental Clinic regardless of where you had your original orthodontic treatment.

FUNCTIONAL BRACES
Functional braces are used in growing children to help to correct discrepancies in the position of the upper and lower jaws. These are often combined with fixed orthodontic braces to help to improve the patients jaw and smile.
After your consultation, Dr Hamza Anwar will be able to suggest options to best suit your treatment needs.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Almost everyone! As long as the general health of your teeth is good, there is no reason you cannot have braces. Even the smallest imperfections can be corrected and can have a big impact on your smile! There is no age limit to having beautiful teeth.
Brace treatment can take different amounts of time for every patient. It depends on the case as some teeth are easier to straighten than others. When you attend for your consultation, your dentist will be able to give you an idea of how long treatment is likely to take.
Whenever teeth are moved there is always a certain amount of discomfort for the first couple of days after the brace is adjusted. The discomfort is generally mild and for most patients does not affect their daily activities.
Yes! It is very important that braces are kept extremely clean. This is vitally important in getting an excellent result when your braces come off. At Clarity Dental Clinic, we ensure that we are seeing our patients regularly and cleaning your teeth whenever required. We also give a comprehensive cleaning pack and kit when you start treatment with us.
Yes. Retainers are really important after completing treatment to make sure your teeth don’t move back to their original form. Your dentist will tell you which retainers are best for you as there are different types. All of our prices include retainers.
