Imran qualified from Liverpool University in 2011. He was one of the select few chosen to work and progress at the dental and general hospitals across Manchester covering all the dental specialities. During this time, he was award prizes for his clinical and academic work. Dr Asghar has worked as a speciality doctor in endodontics at Royal Oldham Hospital since 2017, taking on complex referral root canal cases including endodontic surgery. He was the first dentist to be award the Best Young Dentist by the British Dental Association in 2017.

Imran is known for his commitment to his profession and further education, as well as his work in his local dental community and charity work. He has been invited various times to lecture abroad on dental topics.

He is also a volunteer and trustee of Dental Aid Network who provide free dental aid to those in. He has been the author of 2 guidance books for dentists in the UK.

Outside of work Imran enjoys meeting friends regularly, travelling as well as playing cricket and chess.
